An example of why I dislike people sometimes
So I just had this conversation with someone I know (I’m not really going to say friend because, well, obviously) I’m colored Red.
This is incredibly dumb to me and it’s why I simply laugh and people wonder why I dont generally like a lot of people. The fact that a “friend” has no issue with lying to their friends in order to go to something, simply because it might seem more fun, OR look more glamorous(because some people think it’s “Better” and higher class to go get drunk at a club then relax at a friends house).
It’s one thing to cancel because your feeling sick, or something came up. Like if I knew who this girl was who was having a birthday party, that may be understandable because it happens once a year. But I don’t know her, so I owe her nothing. It boggles me that people, even at this age (so many years after high school) still act to selfish and, generally, superficial.
So, what ended up arising from this conversation is me losing a “friend”, not because she got offended (which I know wouldn’t bother her), but rather because I don’t want her as a friend. A friend that I know would have no quips about making plans with me and them cancelling them, making bullshit excuses in the process, if something “better” comes along.
I wish people would have better standards and a sense of loyalty. Tired of feeling everyone is out purely for themselves these days.
